I probably should start a business...

Here is the latest wedding cake that I have done. I did it for one of my best friends brother's weddings. It was probably the fastest and easiest wedding cakes I have done in awhile.
Cory keeps telling me that I need to just start a business, but something keeps holding me back. Mainly pricing. I don't know what would be fair pricing that would be competitive enough to still keep me in business.
Here are some other cakes I have done in the past too.

How much does he weigh?

I went into my work today for an appointment with the lactation specialist for Davyn. My little man weighs a whopping 13 lbs. 1 oz. I had to do a double take at the scale. He isn't even 7 weeks old yet, and man is he gaining weight like crazy!
So, I complained my frustrations and pleaded for help with the fact that my boy eats every hour to two hours. After a bunch of questions and an evaluation, she kindly informed me that my baby wasn't eating because he is hungry, he is eating for comfort. She told me that she thinks that Davyn might have reflux and that is the reason that he is eating all the time, he is trying to stop the burning he feels by eating. So, she gave us some medicine to try to help him to feel better and to hopefully go a little longer in between feedings. Let's hope and pray that this is the problem and it works!

Chunka Munka

I call Davyn my "chunka munka" because he is such a pig. He acts like he's starving all the time. As you can see from these pictures, he definately isn't lacking in the food department. His cheeks are getting so squeezable! It does get frustrating I have to admit, I feel like all I do is feed him. It would be nice if he went three hours between feedings like you read that they are "supposed" to. He usually wants to eat every hour and a half instead. But when he's hungry, he's hungry. I should feel lucky though because that is the only time he cries is when he's hungry. As long as he's fed, he's content. I have always said that the newborn stage is the hardest for me, and it's true but it's so sad to see how big he's gotten already and he's only 5 weeks old!

Davyn looking around.
Look at those cheeks. He sure isn't starving like he acts. He might be my one child that has some meat to him instead of being a bean pole!

Davyn's bird face. He always thinks he has to eat!

Photo Tag

Photo Tag!

Jody tagged me! I haven't played a good game of tag in a long time, so here we go:

Instructions:

* Open my first photo folder
* Scroll down to the 10th photo
* Post that photo and story on my blog
* Tag five friends to do the same

This isn't a very interesting picture I know... This is last September at the State Fair. We took deKyn for his birthday. This picture was when the kids were waiting on the hay bales for pony rides. Taegyn looks so young in this picture to me. It was a good day.

I tag whoever thinks that this would be a fun tag to do! :)

I love to see the Temple...

After Cory and the kids got home from church, we decided to take a drive to see the Temples. We went to the Draper Temple but it was raining so hard, we didn't get out of the car. We then decided to go to the new South Jordan Temple and it had cleared up by then that we were able to get out of the car and walk around the grounds and take a couple pictures.

3 weeks already...

I can't believe it has been three weeks already! Time is going by so fast and he is getting so big already. When we took him in for his two week appointment, he grew an inch and weighed 8 lbs 14 oz which is 9 oz above his birth weight.
He has still been a great baby. He is pretty content unless he's hungry. I am so thankful to have a baby that doesn't need to be help all day and doesn't need continually movement to fall asleep and to stay asleep.
As much as I'm sad that he isn't staying small and tiny, I can't wait for him to get bigger and go through all those fun milestones like sitting up, crawling, walking, talking, ect...

Bili bed

I never got a picture with Davyn in his Bili bed, these are off of my sister-in-laws blog (thanks Karen). We had to take him in to get his bilirubin checked for five days after we brought him home from the hospital. His jaundice was bad enough that he had to be under the lights for two days. As annoying as it was to keep him in the bed, he looked kind of cute!
