My Family

Need I say more?

Davyn sits up!

So I have to say how nice it is to have Davyn sitting up all on his own. He is so much happier being able to sit on the floor or the bed all by himself with toys to play with in front of him. We have been pretty lucky, all of our kids have sat up on their own by 4 and a half months, and Davyn is no exception. He is getting so big so fast. Before we know it he'll be crawling, (I'm sure just in time for Christmas). I better start baby proofing the house now!

Pumpkinland

We took our kids to Pumpkinland this last weekend. They had so much fun. We enjoy the fact that it is only $3 for 3yrs and up, and there is plenty for the kids to do. We walked through the corn maze, then stopped to take pictures in the wooden cut outs, there was a play area with animals and blow up toys and there is a park with swings and slides.

There is also a little "light alley". After the kids played, they were ecstatic to pick out their own pumpkins. This is the third year that we have gone and I am sure that we will go again next year.If you haven't been there before, I recommend it!

Let's Eat

Davyn LOVES to eat. All you have to do is look at him and it's pretty obvious that my little man loves to eat. We introduced him to solid foods around 4 months old because he is such a chunker and wants to eat everything. Here are some pictures of his first try with rice cereal.

So comfy?

Taegyn can sleep anywhere. We have found various places that she has randomly fallen asleep at. One time she fell asleep outside on the grass at the bottom of our slide and deKyn came in and said, "Mom, Taegyn's dead by the swing set!" It freaked me out and I hurried outside and saw her lying there asleep. I can't believe she can sleep anywhere. Here are a couple pictures...

A couple more cakes...

Here's the latest in the cakes that I have done...

One big helper...

Taegyn loves to help me in the kitchen. She was really excited to help me "make" deKyn's birthday cake. Her favorite thing to do is to crack the eggs and to stir the batter. The one good thing about helping is that she is always first to get to lick the bowl!

deKyn's 4th birthday

So it dawned on me that I never posted about deKyn's birthday. This year was the first year that I decided to do a friend party for deKyn. I found it to be more stressful then I thought it would be. deKyn wanted a Spiderman birthday this year so for his family party, I made a Spiderman cake and we had all the Spiderman decorations. For his friend party, I had them make spiders, decorate their own cupcakes and play with silly string. It turned out pretty good. I'm just glad that there isn't another child's birthday for 6 more months!

deKyn's School Picture

What a big boy he's getting to be! I can't believe I have a four year old. deKyn loves school. He goes two days a week for three hours a day. He really enjoys the fact that the bus picks him up for school and drops him off. I want to thank his teachers for all that they do. They have really helped him out with his speech and articulation. Right now they are trying to work on shapes, numbers, and colors with him. School also gives him a chance to get away from mom and dad and meet new friends.

Taegyn's new beanie

I couldn't resist...these pictures are just so cute. Just an update, we have finally put deKyn and Taegyn in an extra curricular activity. deKyn is in gymnastics, and we have Taegyn in creative tumbling. They both really enjoy going, and Cory and I love watching them! I will have to get some pics and post them.
