21 questions for my kids about me

I separately asked my three older kids these 21 questions, and here are their answers. 1. What is something Mom always says to you? Davyn: Temples. Taegyn: Be nice to Addalyn deKyn: Don’t be rude to Davyn 2. What makes Mom happy? Davyn: Going pee on the potty. Taegyn: When I clean and when Davyn goes pee on the potty. deKyn: give you flowers. 3. What makes Mom sad? Davyn: Not peeing on the potty. Taegyn: If we hit, kick, pinch, and bite. deKyn: sometime I be rude to Davyn and don’t listen. 4. How does Mom make you laugh? Davyn: Making funny faces. Taegyn: Do funny faces and stuff and freak out. deKyn: Make faces. 5. What was Mom like as a kid? Davyn: Little like baby Addalyn and me. Taegyn: You liked barbies and make-up. deKyn: you liked to go to dance class. 6. How old is Mom? Davyn: Big. Taegyn: 30 deKyn: 30 7. How tall is Mom? Davyn: Huge like a giant. How are you and mom the same? Davyn: Taegyn, deKyn, and Jesus. Taegyn: Our hairs almost match, and our skin matches. deKyn: we swim. 19. How are you and mom different? Davyn: Because we are best friends. Taegyn: My hands are smaller than yours. deKyn: because you have red hair and I have brown. (I really don’t have red hair). 20. How do you know mom loves you? Davyn: Because I love you too. Taegyn: Because you do nice stuff and say I love you. deKyn: You smile at me. 21. Where is mom’s favorite place to go? Davyn: Home. Taegyn: Hobby Lobby. deKyn: the Dollar store.

Davyn's First Black Eye

It's a little surprising that it has taken almost 3 years for Davyn to get his first black eye. This kid is a little accident prone, so I thought it would've happen before now.

The pictures were taken the day after a neighbor boy threw a toy car at him. It got much worse before it got better. But he rocks it. I love this boy to pieces.

Reminiscing

I was looking back at old pictures and I came across these of deKyn at 3 and a half and Taegyn at 18 months. Looking at these pictures makes me miss Taegyn's little curls. It's hard to believe that she actually had natural curly hair. I love looking back at these pictures and seeing how much my kids have grown up. My how things have changed.

Jack

It's true, we haven't had the best luck with animals, but Cory and I both agreed our kids should have some sort of pet, so we broke down and go Jack. Our kids are ecstatic and he is just so cute, how could you not love the thing? I have always liked cats and they are so much more simple than owning dogs. I hope that we can break the bad streak we have with pets with Jack. Our kids have already grown so attached. One of the first things that deKyn says when he comes home from school is "Where's the cat?" So yes, some might judge us for getting yet another pet, but I do think that our family needed one.

All by myself

I have been a lot more busy with cakes lately, and with that haven't been able to let Taegyn help much. With one of the last cakes that I did, she kept begging for me to let her do it. This is when I decided that I needed to have a day where I frost a cake for her and sit back and let her decorate it the way she wanted. So, I got a cake out, frosted it, rolled out some fondant for her and let her go at it. She had so much fun and was so proud of what she created. She wouldn't let anyone touch her cake to eat it until dad got home so she could show off her masterpiece. While I was watching her decorate, I wondered why I haven't done this before now. Maybe once a month I could let her have a day where I just assist her and let her creativity design her own cake.
I love this girl to pieces and know that one day maybe she will be right there beside me decorating cakes too.
