Yay for the Yard

Cory has worked really long and hard to finish our back yard. Although it's not completely done, at least we have grass. We still have plans to build a fire pit in one of the corners in the back yard and plant some planter boxes for a garden. We are also looking for some filler plants and flowers to put in our front yard by the trees that Cory planted. It's coming along and I'm really proud of Cory for all the hard work he has put into making our yard look good!

Three's a crowd?

Well, it's been a little over a week since we brought Davyn home and I was really worried about three being a crowd in my household. However, I have been pleasantly surprised at how well deKyn and Taegyn have been adjusting to Davyn.Granted there has been some more whining then normal and a little more fighting between deKyn and Taegyn, but they are doing really well with Davyn.Davyn has been an amazing baby so far. He usually only cries when he's hungry and he wakes up only twice a night to eat. I was really worried about the lack of sleep but have been getting plenty.
I am really enjoying having another baby in the house and I am enjoying watching my other kids with him. They have both been very helpful with Davyn. They bring me diapers and wipes and they try to calm him when he's crying.I just want to thank all of my friends and family that have been helping us out whether it be with meals or watching my kids. I appreciate all that everyone does for us. We love you all!

It's a BOY!

We are so excited to announce the arrival of Davyn Tacker Isaacson. He arrived at 5:32 pm on May 20th weighing 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 and a 1/2 in. long.
Cory and I went into the hospital at 6:30 in the morning on the 20th to get induced. For some reason, I thought that with this being my third kid and with being induced, labor would go a lot faster. Boy was I wrong. I had only dilated a half a centimeter by the time we were there for four hours, and my pit was already up to the full amount. They broke my water around two and I was still only at a three. The nurse came back in at four to check me and I was only at a four and she told me she was going to go deliver another lady. She said that she didn't think that I would be anywhere close to delivering before she left for shift change at 6, frankly, I didn't think so either by the way everything was going up to that point. I had gotten my epidural around three but it wasn't numbing my right side. I was feeling a lot of cramping in my right thigh but only when I was having contractions. Another nurse came in to see how I was doing and I told her about the cramping so she checked me just in case even though no less then an hour ago I had only been at a four. I was really surprised when she told me that I was ready to push. I couldn't believe it, a four to a ten in less then an hour. The doctor got there pretty fast, and Davyn was born in two pushes.
We are so excited for our newest addition to our family! We couldn't be more blessed and thankful for such a healthy baby and with such a sweet spirit.

And the Green Grass Grows All Around...

Well, eventually that's the plan. Cory has been slaving away trying to get our back yard ready for grass before June 1st. We have a big hill in the back yard, so he had to build a retaining wall to try and level out what little of a back yard we do have. He has done a great job so far, but digging out the trench for the wall and then digging and moving dirt has been a long, tough haul for him. Here's pictures of the kids "helping" dad in the yard! Can't wait to put up the after pictures!

The sun is FINALLY here!

We have been waiting a long time for the sun to come out and for it to be warm enough to break out the kiddie pool for the kids. Water balloons, kiddie pool, and chalk are a favorite summer past time for the kids. Hopefully the good weather stays and the snow stays away!

Taegyn's 2nd Birthday

Better Late then never right? Here are some pictures of her birthday party. She wanted a princess birthday (surprise surprise...) so I made her the castle cake with Cinderella and the prince.
