Neptune Park

For family home evening the other night, we took the kids to the new park down by our house. This park had some amazing new "futuristic" type of toys to play on. They had a big kids section (let's be honest, it was for adults too) and a toddler section. My kids had a blast. We will definitely be taking them here again.

Someone likes to get messy, someone likes to get clean...

You know how when your baby turns one, you give them their own little cake to smash into and everyone likes to see how messy they get? Well, Davyn was actually my only child so far that would even tough his cake and smash into it. I wondered how Addalyn would do when her first birthday came up. I no longer have to wonder. A few weeks ago I gave her some left over cake that I had laying around and she attacked it like it was no one's business. After she was done, we got her out and gave her a bath in the sink in the kitchen. Cory took her into her room to get her dried off and new clothes put on.

Cory then comes out and starts laughing and tells me to come check out the scene that he is observing. I walk out into the kitchen and what do I see? Davyn sitting in the sink of course giving himself a bath. Bath time is like crack to this boy. Anytime anyone turns water on, he is there in a flash stripping down and jumping in. At least I won't have to worry about hygiene with him right? Cory and I were just impressed that he was able to fit into the sink at all. Haha. I love this boy to pieces.

Gardner Village

Another thing we did with the kids in October is Gardner Village. Cory and I wanted to take the kids up there to see all the witch stuff and stores that they had. I think face painting, the toy store, and the candy store were their favorite.

The lady that did the face painting did an amazing job. She made it look so easy. My kids LOVED their faces so much. Even little Addalyn sat still enough to get her face painted.

Halloween a little late

As I was looking at my blog today, I realized that I have not put up pictures from Halloween. I made the costumes this year except for Davyn who recycled deKyn's old costume. Addalyn was a ladybug, I was a bee, Taegyn was a butterfly fairy, deKyn was a ninja, Davyn was a skeleton, and Cory a zombie.
I was so glad that it was warmer then years past. My kids actually got to go out without coats and show off their costumes. It was a lot of fun this year and my kids got too much candy!

Erica comes for a visit.

It has been LONG overdue for Erica to visit. The last time I had seen her was when she had a 3 hour layover in Salt Lake when Taegyn was 3 months old. deKyn wasn't even 2 yet. Well, it was so fun having her here. We went shopping (of course), went and got massages, we got our toes and nails done (which is a tradition), and we just hung out and got caught up on life and things. Here are some pics. I am hoping that we can get together again soon. 4 years is WAY too long.

Projects

One of the things that I have been busy with is getting projects done that have been sitting untouched for many months. One of the said projects was finishing up my girls' boarder in their room and the vinyl on both kids' doors. I think that the finished product turned out great. I am glad to that is one thing that I could finally check off my long to do list. Thanks to Trisha James for letting me borrow her machine to cut out my vinyl.

By the way, Davyn got to choose what design he wanted by the sides of his name and without any prompting, he chose the bombs. Quite fitting if you ask me! :)

Addalyn Update

So I have been MIA for a bit, things have been crazy. So here is the first of many blogs to come until I catch up.
To start off. Here are some pictures of Addalyn at 4 months. This is her first attempt at baby food. I know four months is a little young to have started her, but she had only gained four ounces in two months and her pediatrician suggested that we try solids. She started with rice cereal, and then we tried sweet potatoes. She loved them. She hates green beans, peas, and isn't a huge fan of carrots, but she enjoys the other stuff. Here are some pictures of her sitting all by herself without help. All of my kids were around 4 months when they began to sit up and she was no exception.

Time really does fly. Here we are just 2 days away from her being 6 months old. I am so sad to see her grow up so fast. She has her lower left tooth (which came in over a week ago) and the other just about to poke through. She rocks up onto her knees and tries to grab things out of her reach. She rolls everywhere, and is just a happy content baby.
