Addalyn's Blessing Day

We blessed Addy on 7/3/2011. Cory did such an amazing job on the blessing. He always gets so nervous to stand up there in front of the whole congregation. You felt the spirit and knew that Addalyn is a special daughter of God and that she will do great things while she is here on earth.

I cannot say enough how lucky I am to have a worthy husband that is able to hold the priesthood so that he's able to bless me and our children. I am so grateful for the gospel and I know and have a testimony of the importance of eternal families.

I had my mom make Addalyn's blessing dress and I have got to say that I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I always wanted a longer blessing dress for my girls, and with Taegyn I couldn't find one that I liked (let alone afford). But with Addy's, I found a pattern and picked out the material. It was exactly what I wanted. It's just too bad that she won't be wearing more than just the one time. To go along with her dress, I made her a cute bracelet and hair bow. The two perfect accessories to tie everything together.

Something that we did for this blessing that we didn't really do with any of the other kids, is get some picture taken. My friend Courtney was gracious enough to come out before church and take some family photos for me. I think that they turned out cute and am excited to have them to commemorate the occasion.
I am grateful for all of the family and friends that came out to support us on this exciting day!

To my beautiful Addalyn Embree, you were precious and stunning on your blessing day. Your little spirit in our home is such a joy for me and I couldn't have asked for a better addition to round out our family!
