deKyn being a "Stud Bird"My goodness I can't believe my deKyn has turned 6. He has grown up so much in the past 6 months. He has become such a huge helper around the house, and with his brother and sisters. deKyn gets crazy and bounces off the walls like any other boy his age. He loves to play fight, camp, dig in the dirt, and hunt for bugs. He just started Kindergarten this year and is really enjoying it.
For deKyn's birthday this year, we let him have a friend party. He invited 8 of his friends over for a water party (boy was that stressful!) The boys played giant bowling,
had a water balloon fight, had a squirt gun war,
and played in our sandbox and on our trampoline. Since deKyn has a huge interest in bugs, he asked for a bug cake. He was very specific about his bug cake, there had to be a tarantula ("a brown one because they are the only ones that are nice" says deKyn), a scorpion (kind of turned out looking a little more like a lobster, but he still liked it), and of course a Praying Mantis.
The boys at his party were really impressed by the cake and they all fought over who would eat the bugs and the rocks.
We love our little man so much and hope that he had a very great birthday.
